WSET 3 certified, with distinction

In February 2021, I officially earned the WSET Level 3 certification, with distinction.

The Wine & Spirits Education Trust (WSET) is the internationally recognized program for wine education.  Level 3 is an advanced level qualification, and the final exam has 3 parts:  blind tasting, fact-based multiple choice, and written short-answer theory questions.  

As an industry professional who often works behind a desk but also needs to speak the language of winemakers and winery owners, it was a valuable next step.  

This process facilitated an in depth study on winemaking and grape growing factors that affect quality, style and price. Building on industry experience, it has leveled up my wine knowledge and fostered more effective communication with winery clients regarding marketing and business strategy.
