Project Approach: How does it work with Clarity & Co?

It starts with a conversation.

One of the most common questions I receive from industry professionals and potential clients is some version of, “how do you approach projects?”, or “how does it work?”.

The simple answer is: One size does not fit all. After working many years in marketing and operations with brands from various countries, price tiers, and sizes, this is clear: Projects always benefit from a clearly defined structure and strong communication, paired with a custom approach.

It starts with a conversation.

After getting to know each other, we then discuss priorities, timing, scope, and other considerations that might have an impact on our work together. It’s important to discuss the big picture so that I can be most efficient and focused with the time spent. It’s exciting to discuss challenges and possible projects with people from all over the wine & spirits industry.

We explore options to find a winning solution.

Sometimes projects benefit from additional team members with deep expertise in a certain area in order to best implement ideas. I am fortunate to have a strong network of professionals who work as partners depending on the specialty required. This allows me to develop strategy as an independent consultant and/or implement ideas with an agency-like team when the project calls for it.

Another consideration is whether the work should be divided into stages. For example, a client might prefer to have strategy and planning work done up front, and decide later if they would also like to work together on the implementation.

We set the foundation and start to breathe new life.

Once we address these variables, I develop a detailed proposal to give the project life and a strong foundation. This is where we can see a clearly communicated structure and a custom approach.

Another dimension worth mentioning: In a relationship-driven business, you may be interested in my holistic approach beyond the tactical. As many will attest, sometimes the intangible aspects of a business relationship become the most important. More details on this topic can be found here.
